Stamp Duty Concessions

Transfer and Mortgage Stamp Duty
Full exemption for purchase price of established homes up to $500,000. Partial exemption up to $600,000.
First home buyers purchasing a vacant block of land will pay no stamp duty on land valued up to $300,000. Discounts are available on stamp duty between $300,000 and $450,000.

There is no income or assets test to qualify. Only applies to homes or land purchased after 4 April 2004.
You qualify for the scheme if you and your partner have never owned and occupied a residential property in any State or Territory within Australia.
